If the Update Fails

If the update fails, check the following.

■Check points

1. Check whether the battery capacity is sufficient, or the AC adaptor has been connected properly.
If the battery charge is insufficient, the update cannot be performed.

2. Check whether the computer and the camera body have been connected via the USB cable.
If the USB connection between the computer and the camera body is not detected, try the following.
Unplug the USB cable and try to connect it again.
If the computer has multiple USB terminals, connect the cable to another USB terminal and try again.

3. Check whether the downloaded file is available for your computer and your lens.
If you have a Windows computer, the extension of the downloaded file is ".exe."
If you have a Mac computer, the extension of the downloaded file is ".dmg."

4. The lens update cannot be performed with the following camera bodies.
 NEX-3
 NEX-5
 NEX-C3
 NEX-VG10
